Introduction

This is a website of Belarto Nederland BV, hereafter "Belarto".  Belarto processes your personal data to provide their services to you. Within the framework of the General Data Protection Regulation as applicable per May 25, 2018, the communication on- and contracting for our data processing has been reiterated. To clarify our degree of trustworthiness, Belarto will continue to be transparent on its processes and its systems environment applied to store and process your personal data. This privacy statement describes the data processing carried out by Belarto.

Belarto is a (digital) publisher, marketer, IT provider and content supplier and is a market leader in the field of occasion cards and gift items. Belarto also issues designs that customers can personalize for Printing on Demand. Belarto's products are commercialized via their own websites, whether Belarto Branded or white labelled, and through websites and physical stores of resellers. We work with over 3,000 resellers (e.g., printers, copy shops) in the EU and for example the UK, Switzerland and Serbia. We also offer full service white label websites to several charities including UNICEF, Kika and 'De Zonnebloem', and to retail chains such as but not limited to Prenatal, Ava, Multicopy and Staples. For these white label solutions, we share your customer data with the partners for these websites.

Which personal data are processed and why?

We aim to provide good customer service and to communicate efficiently and environmentally friendly with our existing and potential customers, while meeting all legal legal requirements. To achieve our aim, it is instrumental that we store certain information about you. This includes all data that you enter when you create an account with us, or a send (paper) order forms or if you contact our customer service or communicate with us in any other way. This information is used to complete your transaction, process order and then deliver and to keep you informed of the services that we can offer you.

What information is this?

  • Information required to identify you, such as: first name, last name, address (es), telephone number (s), e-mail address and age. Your age will be necessary in order to determine whether or not you reached 16 years of age. If this is not the case, for the General Data Protection Regulation you are a minor and approval of a parent or guardian is required for the processing of your data. In addition, we use aggregated age and gender information to understand our target groups and, among other things, to improve our product ranges.
  • In order to be of service to you, we will also need to process your purchase, transaction and payment details. This includes your credit card number or bank account that is required to pay the payment. A secure payment environment is used. The payment is arranged by a third party, a Payment Service Provider (PSP), who executes our payment requests. This company ensures that the money is transferred in a secure manner. The information provided to this company is your first and last name, company name if applicable, payment method requested, order number, account number and the amount to be debited. This all happens automatically, ie without the intervention of people at the moment you enter the data. Any payment information is sent straight to our PSP, and will not be stored on our website platform, but will be used in our separately hosted administrative records for matching invoices with payments, and could also be used in case of payment arrears.
  • For the shipment of your product we are aware of the shipment-, invoicing and payment data used to send an object, and when using certain shipping services, including tracking numbers and tracking updates.
  • Other additional information that we must or may collect and process on the basis of applicable national law to verify your identity, or to verify the data that we have collected.
  • In order to offer the services as completely as possible, your IP address, MAC address, identifiers in cookies and your surfing behavior are processed on our websites to collect information about the pages you view, the links you click on and other actions that you perform through our services within our ads or emails. In addition, your data will be used for marketing purposes to promote new products and offers.
  • If you have submitted data regarding a job application at Belarto, the data from your resume, letter of application, e-mail address and other provided personal data will only be kept during the application procedure. After that, all such data will be deleted by us, but we will keep track of your name and date of birth to keep track of previous application outcomes for future applications
  • Other personal data will only be processed (by means of cookies, reading peripherals or otherwise) if the data processing is necessary for:
  • the execution of an agreement concluded with you;
  • the proper implementation of a public law task;
  • the defense of our legitimate interest (unless your interest or fundamental
    rights and freedoms prevail over this interest), or;
  • the defense of our legitimate interest (unless your interest or fundamental rights and freedoms prevail over this interest), or;
  • you have given permission for processing when collecting it.

How long are your personal data stored

The personal data that you have provided when creating your account, as well as the products you have ordered or saved, will be kept online by Belarto as long as you keep your account. When you delete your account, all your data will automatically be deleted. Your bank account number or other payment details are not stored in the website, so that in the case of a data breach in the website these data are not accessible .

The e-mails exchanged for your order will not be removed before 6 months after the order has been delivered and the return period has expired, provided that these messages do not contain information that is necessary for us to keep.

You can request, at any time, to review, amend or delete your personal data.

Are your personal data provided to third parties?

In order to provide the services you require, personal data will only be provided to third parties if this is deemed necessary for the provision of services.

In some cases, external printers are used to print your order. This is the case, for example, when you order personalized cards. These printers will have your first and last name, address details, and your design. These personal details are only used to print and send your order. In addition, we provide your name and address details to the carrier to deliver your order. Furthermore, we work together with parties for which we sell under license under their brand name, and with whom customer name data of customers can be shared for auditing and marketing purposes, such as but not limited to the occurrence of structurally double occurrences of the same customer by the all of the cooperating parties.

For other purposes we will not provide any personal data to third parties, unless you have expressly granted permission for this or we are legally obliged to do so..

What are your rights?

Right of inspection

If you want to view your personal data that has been processed by us, you can request access by sending an e-mail to info@belarto.nl. You can also view your personal data via your account.

 

Right to correction or deletion of data

You can change, supplement, delete or screen your provided personal data. You can do this via your account or by emailing the aforementioned e-mail address.

 

Handling your request:

Your request will be processed within four (4) weeks. Depending on the complexity of your request and the number of requests that come in, this period can be extended by two (2) months if necessary. If we fail to respond to your request, we will notify you immediately after receipt of your request why your request has been unsuccessful.

 

Complaint Authority Personal Data

If you are of the opinion that we have not treated your complaints about the processing of your personal data to your liking and we can not resolve this together, you have the right to file your complaint with Dutch privacy under the privacy legislation supervisor, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can do this via the website: www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

If you have given permission for this, Belarto will keep you informed by e-mail through a newsletter.
